Town Profile Buncrana

Buncrana Tullyarvan Mill

Buncrana with its tranquil location, sitting on the banks of Lough Swilly is also known as ‘ParthasÉireann’ or Ireland’s Paradise.

It is the main urban centre and largest town in the picturesque Inishowen Peninsula. Buncrana’s strong industrial, commercial and tourist tradition, outstanding scenery and high quality natural environment and an area draped in history, lends itself to a town with great potential oozing with life and prosperity.

In 2013, Buncrana hosted the Amazing Grace Festival, which was a truly "amazing" few days and attracted visitors from as far afield as America, Germany and South Africa.  As part of The Donegal Gathering, the festival featured music, arts and crafts, history, family fun and much more.
