Bundoran is the most southerly town in the county and is located on the shores of picturesque, Donegal Bay. The Dartrymountains make a beautiful backdrop for this coastal resort. The waves that roll in from the open Atlantic have made this town a world renowned surfing area and was listed by the National Geographic magazine in 2012 as one of the World’s Top 20 Surf Towns.There are many modern hotels and accommodation from B&B’s to caravan parks.
The town is especially family orientated with a cinema complex and the ‘Waterworld’ leisure centre and a fair ground with many amusements and activity rides. The town also has the very popular Donegal Adventure Centre which offers many indoor and out-door activities such as climbing walls and surf lessons. Golf, horse-riding, sea and river angling are also available in the area. The nearby Drowes River is exceptional for early in the year Salmon and Sea Trout. This town is an ideal location for the young and the old with its endless supply of amenities.
